Hawker Pacific bags Embraer ERJ service centre status
April 5, 2017
Hawker Pacific Asia’s Singapore MRO facility has been appointed to operate as an authorised service centre for Embraer business jets. According to a news article published at the Aero Australia website on 4 April 2017, the MRO facility will serve “as the authorised service centre for the ERJ 135 and ERJ 145 commercial jets for the Asia Pacific region.”
This effectively raises Hawker Pacific’s profile as a crucial MRO service provider in Asia Pacific. The facility’s elevation to the core of Embraer’s operations for commercial and business jet aircraft is designed to provide greater operational flexibility and convenience to operators that own ERJ 135 and ERJ 145 jets. The centre will be particularly crucial to aviation companies that have operations spanning the global market.
Embraer’s top management has expressed optimism that the new appointment will help both companies intensify their regional operations. Aero Australia quotes Augustine Tai, Director of Embraer Services & Support for Asia Pacific, as saying: “The establishment of Hawker Pacific as our authorised service centre in Singapore is part of our plan to grow our commercial aviation MRO footprint to support the growing fleet of commercial aircraft in the Asia Pacific region. Asia Pacific is an important market for us, and we will continue to enhance our services and support network in meeting the growing expectations of our expanding customer base.”
On its part, Hawker Pacific’s management team is expressing gratitude for the opportunity to operate as an authorised centre for the Embraer jets. The Aero Australia article quotes Hawker Pacific Asia’s Vice President for Asia, Louis Leong, as saying: “We are honoured to be appointed an EASC for the ERJ 135/145, and we are committed to providing excellent service with exemplary safety standards to support Embraer’s fleet of aircraft in the region.”
