Dassault’s Falcon 8X makes Middle East debut

Dassault is showcasing the Falcon 8X business jet at the MEBAA Convention in Dubai. According to Kate Sarsfield’s news article published at the FlightGlobal website on 5 December 2016: “Dassault’s Falcon 8X is making its Middle East debut less than a month after the first example of the ultra-long-range business jet was handed over to a Middle East customer.”

The Falcon 8X’s foray into the Middle East underscores the tremendous milestones that Dassault has achieved in bringing the aircraft to service. This is evidenced by the satisfaction and optimism that the company’s senior management team has expressed. Sarsfield quotes Renaud Cloatre, Dassault’s International Sales Director for the Middle East as saying: “The delivery of an 8X to a regional operator – barely a month after the entry into service of the first aircraft – says a lot about the important role the Middle East is expected to play in the success of our new flagship.”

The Middle East debut of this particular state-of-the-art business jet is projected to generate a lot of interest amongst operators in the region. As many of these operators converge at the MEBAA Convention, the occasion offers Dassault the perfect opportunity to showcase the jet’s performance and unique functionalities. Sarsfield quotes Cloatre as projecting: “The aircraft’s first showing at the MEBAA in Dubai is also anticipated to generate a great deal of excitement among Gulf operators.”

Dassault’s management team is confident that the Middle East will be a major market for the Falcon 8X, thanks to the jet’s ultra-long-range capabilities. The company expects to generate significant revenue from sales of the jet to customers in the region. Sarsfield quotes Cloatre as elaborating: “Like the 7X – Dassault’s most popular offering in the region – the 8X is expected to be a big seller, where operators value the exceptional combination of range, cabin comfort and operating efficiency.”
