Hawker Pacific secures Dassault’s authorisation for Malaysian MRO facility

Hawker Pacific’s MRO in Malaysia is now a Dassault-authorised facility. In a news article published at the AINonline website on 24 March 2017, Curt Epstein cites the airframer’s report indicating that the facility “has been designated an authorised service centre (ASC) for the Dassault Falcon 8X, 7X, 2000EX EASy and the Falcon 900EX EASy series.”

The Hawker Pacific-operated Malaysian MRO facility is located at Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. According to Epstein, the facility “offers 36,000 sq ft of space to provide lime maintenance for local and based customers under ISO 9001:2008 certification.” Although the MRO is currently operating under the approval of the Malaysian Aviation Authority, it is scheduled to gain greater prominence later in 2017 when it acquires US FAA and European EASA approvals.

The scope of the facility’s operations spans the maintenance, modifications, overhaul, repair, retrofits and upgrades domains, according to Epstein. It is also equipped with AOG response capabilities along with a go team providing 24-hour support services.

Dassault Aviation’s senior management is expressing confidence in the ability of the Malaysian MRO facility to deliver high-quality services to business jet owners and other private aviation operators. Epstein quotes Jacques Chauvet, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Customer Service at Dassault, as saying: “Strengthening our global ASC network is vital to Dassault Aviation’s commitment to providing top-notch support for all Falcon customers. We’re confident that Hawker Pacific’s excellent service record and exemplary safety standards will maximise customer satisfaction for Southeast Asian operators.”

Hawker Pacific’s Malaysian MRO facility is part of the company’s broad network of operations in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Its operations in Asia span several locations that include Beijing, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Shanghai and Singapore. The company’s Middle East offices and operations are based in Dubai.
