IJM MENA expands Middle East charter fleet

On 14 July 2016, IJM MENA announced the signing of an agreement for the management of a Challenger 604 private aviation aircraft.

The Challenger 604 is a private jet that operates with a Bahrain-issued registration. It will mainly serve destinations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As well as other destinations in Asia, Africa and Europe.

IJM MENA is a private aviation company that is jointly owned by the Austria-based International Jet management and the Bahrain-based MENA Aerospace. This is according to a news article published at the European Business Air News (EBAN) website, on 14th July 2016.

IJM MENA – Expanding Their Fleet

The IJM MNA management has indicated that it would be adding the Challenger 604 to its AOC. It will also base the aircraft’s location at MENA Aerospace’s hangar within the Bahrain International Airport. This would be quite a convenient location for the aircraft. Especially considering it was bought in to prioritise flights to world leading tourism and holiday destinations. Including places such as the Maldives, Mauritius, and Seychelles.

The addition of this 10-seater aircraft has boosted the company’s efforts to speed up expansion. Particularly of its small business jets fleet. The addition of the Challenger 604 actually takes the tally of this aviation operator’s aircrafts to five. As the EBAN website reports:

“Besides the CL604, the company offers a Legacy 600 for charter out of Bahrain, while the rest of the fleet are flown exclusively for owners.” The company is seeking to become a major business jet industry player in Bahrain and the MENA region as a whole.

There is also great optimism within the ranks and files of IJM MENA top management. The EBAN website quotes Bernhard Wipfler, the company’s general manager as saying:

“We are proud to be the operator of choice for this aircraft and we are very pleased to see our Bahraini operations growing.
